In 2021, Château de l’Olivète produced a red cuvée in the Côtes du Rhône appellation, the 1819 cuvée, celebrating the estate’s 200th anniversary. It is made from the estate’s finest vines, featuring Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan grape varieties, grown on limestone and sandy hillsides.
Aromatic nose with stewed red fruits, cherry, and dark fruits like blackcurrant. The palate is round and fleshy with fine tannins, all held together by a slight acidity that keeps the fruit in the foreground. Everything is well blended, ready to drink or to keep for a few years. Pretty finish marked by tobacco.
This round, warm and elegant wine conveys all the passion and love for Rhone Valley.
