Delicious Burgundy wine! Very enjoyable Burgundy when young but will reveal all its potential after aging up to 10 years in the bottle. Drink 2021 to 2027
good fruit weight, coupled with a litheness that belies its youth. There is upside. Looking forward to my next bottle in a few years' time. Drink from 2020.
has a light, slightly tinny bouquet with bright red cherries and a touch of blueberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin, pretty and rather earthy red berry fruit with a tart, peppery finish. This is easy-drinking but well made Saint Julien to enjoy over four or five years.
A wine with strong traits, a deep ruby color, red fruit (kirsch) aromas and a minerality that borders on perfection. Mouthfeel gradually shows notes of spice.
Merlot 50%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Cabernet Franc 10%
Nicely round and mellow on an attack carried by the maturity of the grapes until the middle of the mouth, with a beautiful sweetness. The wine then firms up, gently, thanks to powerful tannins, but not enough to hide the fruity finish of
Deep Purple, semi-powerful wine, with juicy tannins, perfect finesse and freshness. It is tactilely very pleasant at the table! Harmonious with finesse on a juicy fruit. Carried by a beautiful maturity of grapes.
More roundness and flesh than Côte-Rôtie, with a texture of fatty and melting tannins, the solar side of the Hermitage hillside is perfectly highlighted here.
The 2015 Lacoste-Borie is a pretty, juicy wine with good balance and enough depth to drink well for another few years at least, while the red cherry and plum fruit remains vibrant. This is an attractive second wine from Grand-Puy-Lacoste.
